Description
How to Sow Organic Beetroot Seeds
- Location: Full sun to partial shade
- Soil: Well-drained, fertile soil with a pH of 6.0-7.5
- Sow: Sow seeds 1-2 cm deep, spacing 10 cm apart in rows 30 cm apart
- Water: Keep soil consistently moist but avoid waterlogging
- Germination: 7-14 days
- Care: Thin seedlings to 10 cm apart once they reach 5 cm tall. Water regularly for tender roots
- Harvest: 50-70 days after sowing, when roots are firm and about 5-7 cm in diameter
For best results, prepare the soil with organic compost before planting. Beetroot is an easy-to-grow crop, providing a delicious and healthy harvest of both roots and leaves.
