The Hypnum Moss we use is carefully preserved and not live. It is primarily used for its neutral pH of 7.0 and gentle fertilisation properties. This moss will not stay green forever and does not grow. This does not effect the overall quality, support or effectiveness of this moss pole
The Sphagnum Moss used in this product is not living moss and is primarily used for its water retention and anti bacterial properties. This moss however can grow under favourable conditions and over several months, new green growth may be observed.
